China’s First Offshore “Shared Fishing Vessel” is Coming! Racern Technology Provides Battery Power System for It

Recently, in Ninghai Village, Fu’an City, fishermen sailed a blue electric vessel loaded with bait to the fish rafts. What sets it apart from traditional diesel fishing boats is not only its energy power, but also that the vessel is rented by fishermen.

Racern Technology closely follows customers’ application needs, has conducted multiple on-site investigations into the application working conditions of small-scale fishing auxiliary vessels, and maintained in-depth communication with the shipowner Kunpeng Technology and the system integrator Fujian Aviation Electric. It has custom-developed a 49kWh lithium battery system for coastal fishing auxiliary vessels. The battery system features small size and high energy density, adopts the latest generation of system series-parallel control technology, and can switch between series and parallel modes according to different application working conditions, efficiently meeting the application needs of coastal fishing boats.

This electric vessel is mainly used for harvesting Gracilaria and transporting large yellow croaker feed, etc. The vessel type can meet fishermen’s usage needs, and to reduce the promotion cost of electric fishing boats, it is rented to fishermen through a shared leasing model. The rent is almost the same as the fuel cost of diesel engines, which has significantly saved fishermen’s costs. It is understood that this is China’s first all-electric fishing auxiliary vessel for offshore aquaculture, as well as a licensed fishing auxiliary vessel. It is built in accordance with CCS Coastal Small Vessel Standards and can also be insured. Most importantly, the green and environmentally friendly model reduces pollution, improves the quality of seafood products, increases product value, and has the technical conditions to replace traditional fuel-powered auxiliary vessels.

Currently, the global shipbuilding industry is accelerating its transition towards clean energy. China plans to produce more than half of the world’s clean energy-powered vessels by 2025. Racern Technology has long focused on the field of new energy electric vessels, committed to building high-quality lithium battery power system products with ultimate safety and outstanding performance, bringing customers the best application experience, and promoting the high-quality and steady development of the new energy electric vessel industry.
