Recently, the “New Huanglong,” a new energy ship customized by Wuxi Orient High-Speed Boat Development Co., Ltd. for water tours during the Hangzhou Asian Games, has started the final round of re-inspection after sea trials. After the re-inspection, the cruise ship will depart from the Chengdonggang Wharf in Yixing, sail along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to Hangzhou, and make a wonderful appearance after the opening of the 19th Asian Games, carrying Chinese and foreign tourists to enjoy the scenery of Hangzhou’s “Three Rivers and Two Banks” and the Grand Canal.
The “New Huanglong” has a total length of 40.05 meters, a width of 10 meters, a depth of 1.8 meters, a designed speed of 16.5 km/h, and a passenger capacity of 150 people. Designed and built by Wuxi Orient High-Speed Boat Development Co., Ltd., the ship’s battery and power propulsion system are integrated by China Shipbuilding No.704 Research Institute, and Shenzhen Racern Technology Co., Ltd. provides core equipment such as the power battery system and battery management system.
The “New Huanglong” adopts a hybrid system of “lithium battery + diesel.” In pure electric mode, it features zero emissions, low noise, and comfort; it can also use diesel power mode to meet the requirement of long cruising range. The promenade deck on the roof of the rear hall of the “New Huanglong” is equipped with a domestically pioneering liftable and retractable glass awning. In addition, Hangzhou elements are visible everywhere on the “New Huanglong”: the overall shape of the ship draws on the seal culture of Hangzhou Xiling Seal Engravers’ Society, and the exterior decoration combines Hangzhou silk with classical landscape paintings in a “dynamic and static” manner. After being put into use, the “New Huanglong” will lead Chinese and foreign tourists to experience the beauty of Hangzhou’s vast and continuous Jiangnan landscapes through a green and low-carbon travel method.
