On September 14, 2023, a delegation led by Director Xiang Yuanjing, Head of the Hazardous and Polluting Materials Management Division of Dongguan Maritime Safety Administration, together with key members of hazardous and polluting materials management from various local maritime bureaus in Guangdong Province, visited Shenzhen Racern Technology Co., Ltd. The delegation was warmly received by Vice Chairman Liu Hailong, who, on behalf of Racern Technology, extended a warm welcome to the Dongguan Maritime Safety Administration delegation.
The two sides held a symposium on issues related to the application of lithium batteries in maritime vessels. During the symposium, Wei Qinghua, Operations Director of Racern Technology, provided the delegation with a detailed introduction to the company’s development history, product design, manufacturing, and application. He also presented various typical cases of lithium battery applications in ships. Through live remote video, the delegation observed the entire production and verification process of marine lithium battery systems at Racern Technology’s factory in Dongguan. In addition, both parties conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics including the design, construction, and operational use of marine lithium batteries, challenges in the promotion and application of lithium battery-powered electric vessels (such as safety operations, charging and swapping management, and emergency response on water), and their contribution to greenhouse gas emission reduction.
Through this symposium, the delegation from the Hazardous and Polluting Materials Management Division of Dongguan Maritime Safety Administration expressed their recognition and affirmation of Racern Technology’s development and product applications. Both sides agreed to continue technical exchanges, strengthen business collaboration, actively expand business channels, and promote the healthy and safe development of the new energy vessel industry, with a continued focus on the promotion and safety management of lithium battery-powered electric vessels.
